Connect to Country and join us for a Smoking Ceremony to commence the Community Festival.

Honour culture and community with this special ritual acknowledging traditional owners, welcoming visitors onto Country safely, and connecting participants to ancestors and the Dreaming.

Conducted by Aboriginal Elder Dean Kelly, leaves and embers will be smouldered to create gentle smoke. Attendees are invited to step near, pass through, or gently wave the smoke over themselves using their hands in an act of cleansing and as a sign of respect and openness.
