Name
AI chat spot
Description

Located alongside the festival’s AI talks in the Michael Spence Building, the AI chat spot offers a chance to connect directly with University of Sydney academics, staff and alumni working at the forefront of AI. In this relaxed, drop-in setting, you can ask questions, explore ideas in more depth and discuss real-world applications across a range of fields.

Some questions our experts can discuss with you include:

  • Who should be responsible for regulating the algorithms that amplify harmful content?
  • Who is responsible when AI judges unfairly?
  • Can we trust the companies building and selling AI?
  • What happens to creativity, education and judgement when machines can think with and for us?
  • Can AI help us age better?
  • If AI removes entry-level work, where do future experts come from?
  • How can robots assist people at work?
