Description

Take a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the War Memorial Carillon, led by University of Sydney carillonists.

Climb the tower, explore the clavier room, hear stories from the 1928 Anzac Day debut and learn how music from Bach to Beyoncé is played across 54 bronze bells.

  • Booking required – please ensure you add to your agenda.
  • Please arrive 2 minutes before your session commences – If you are not present prior to session commencing your seat may be filled by guests on the waiting list.

Accessibility information

  • Due to the heritage status of the building and the location of the carillon, there are unavoidable stairs involved in the carillon tours. Compulsory staircases all have railings; the narrower staircase without railing is an optional part of the tour.
  • If you have any accessibility concerns, please contact the Alumni Office in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
